Can I add Logos out a Purchased Race Suit?

Yes, you can add logos onto a purchased race suit, providing strict safety rules are adhered to, so the suit does not void the FIA homologation or fail scrutineering.

Key Rules for Adding Logos

  • Outer Layer Only: Stitching or embroidery must be on the outer layer only, not sewn through all inner protective layers, as the thread creates a thermal bridge which can allow heat or flame to pass through to your skin.
  • Fire-Retardant Materials: Any badges/patches and thread used must be made from flame-resistant materials supplied by the race suits manufacturer. A standard cotton patch and household thread will melt or burn.
  • DIY Iron-On patches: Heat transfers, vinyl prints, or DIY iron-on decals applied with household irons are generally prohibited. To meet the FIA 8856-2018 rules, printed transfers should be applied only by the original manufacturer, as they are a certified FIA facility.
  • Printed logos Certificates: garments with printed logos are supplied with a manufacturers certificate, listing an FIA certified number, that matches the hologram on the garment. These certificates should be available to present to scrutineers if requested, to show that the garment has not been altered in any way since leaving the manufacturing facility.
  • If in doubt, best practice is to contact an authorized racewear distributor for advice or check with the Manufacturer regarding their specific guidelines.

Can I have my Race/Kart Suit Repaired or Altered?

  • Best practice is to contact an authorized racewear distributor for advice or check with the Manufacturer regarding their specific guidelines. The distributor may be able to assist you to return the suit to the manufacturer for repair, once repair is confirmed possible.
  • Any repairs must be done using FIA approved threads and fabrics, so need to be conducted by the suits manufacturer, to maintain the FIA certification.
  • If it’s a non-CIK/FIA rated kart suit, you may use a specialized tailoring service that deals with technical protective fabrics and heavy duty zippers

Can I Pick Up my Order?

  • Yes. Available for both webstore and over the phone orders
  • Via website:
    • Postage (either Regular or Express) needs to be added to the order first, then the local pick-up option will appear when the Victorian address is entered.
    • Once local pick-up is selected, the postage cost will be removed from the order.
    • We will contact you to arrange a pickup time and to provide the address, once your order is ready for collection.
  • AH/weekend pickup is also available 24/7, via a secure locked box. Pick up is in Langwarrin 3910 Vic. We will send you the address and locked box code when the order is ready.

When will my Order be Shipped?

We ship daily via Australia Post with regular postage lead times of between 2-5 business days dependent upon your location.

Do you have express Shipping?
